I am not amused.

Due to accidents blocking many roadways, and still generating backups due to those who must gawk even though said accidents apparently occurred last night, for the first time in twelve years I was late to work. I do not appreciate this. Why has the situation not been dealt with yet?

Furthermore, to whomever thought it would be most amusing to rearrange my office in the 'spirit' of the day... you were mistaken. And while I realize I do not exactly require a desk lamp, it adds to the feeling of the office. Kindly return it.

One final note. Filling my drawer with what the secretary assured me were merely geckos was not amusing either.

A criminal act has shaken our fine city. Many citizens have called the office of the District Attorney, wanting to know how justice will be dealt.

You need have no doubts.

The perpetrators’ identities will be revealed through work and perseverance, and I will do my job as I was elected to do. There is no hiding from the law, no way to terrorize this city and walk away without consequences.

I assure you all, I will do what I can and must for the sake of justice.

Fascinating, the people whom one can speak with in the streets.

Not as fascinating would be the criminal who attempted to take my wallet today. I am blind. Unfortunately for them, I am neither stupid nor uncoordinated. While I hope they eventually heal from the wounds that may have occurred, I equally hope they learned from this experience.

I find my docket to be full again this week. This is most excellent; I am not one to sit idly by and allow the city to crumble.

I do believe that this town would fall under a pulsating green in the color spectrum. It is growing, and yet there is sickness beneath the surface. But sickness will be dealt with. It is my duty and my cause.

I will serve the people of this city to the best of my abilities, which is why I was elected.
